Greetings! Welcome to Dinners at the Farm a series of benefit dinners that recreate a sense of connection to farming, cooking and eating. Now in our fourth year, we continue our open-air celebration of Connecticut farms, food and community with 12 nights of dinners held on two farms, Barberry Hill in Madison and White Gate in East Lyme, all in the month of August. Chefs Jonathan Rapp of River Tavern and Thomas Peterlik, Culinary Director of Yale University, will cook a lavish multi-course feast of Connecticut grown ingredients. Guests will dine together under a tent at long candle-lit tables breaking bread and raising a glass with the farmers, fisherman, vinters and others who make up Connecticut’s vibrant agricultural community. For dinner, guests will savor course after course of incredible dishes like Stonington seafood, pristine greens, savory porchetta, handmade pasta, roasted heirloom tomatoes and more all cooked from scratch off the back of our vintage farm truck. Once again we will be donating $10,000 of the event proceeds to support our non-profit partners CitySeed, Connecticut Farmland Trust and Working Lands Alliance–a dedicated group working to maintain our state’s Agricultural viability. "It was one of those rare dinners that remind you of what food
really is–something sacred, emotional, beautiful, integral."

Dinners at the Farm in the NEWS!

“The operative word for the evening was magical.”

“I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical about driving an hour and a half in the rain to Old Maids Farm in South Glastonbury to eat dinner in a possibly mosquito laden field. But despite Dinners at the Farm's rustic backdrop, the dining experience was a perfectly run 5 star culinary affair.”
